Dear Nigerian,
The future of Nigeria, the pleasant tomorrow God has for her is not in the hands of every youth. It lies in the hands of those who have made the decision to pay the price for change. If the top government functionaries, national Law makers and stakeholders in sectors that solely affect our economy and government keep quiet and roam in the puzzle, we must not give up on our own pursuit of change.
There is one thing I'm sure of; in this I'm well persuaded. I have sound faith (not hope) in God that the situation of things in our dear nation will not remain pathetic. We all must stop hoping for a new Nigeria. We must learn to FAITH the new Nigeria. What we should be seeing is a picture of Sanctity and stability, one that portrays excellence and delivers peace and development to the hands of her people.
As a New Nigerian, you must channel the course of your effort towards change, positive change I mean. Your hands are not tied; you can take action. Instead of sitting and hoping that God will stop cybercrime, child trafficking, youth insecurity, corruption and other social vices; you must volunteer to be the tool in God's hand to rescue this Nation from doom. If you as a young man or woman will be concerned about giving Nigeria a picture that portrays goodness, our brand will be a lot better.
You should be concerned. Not only should you be concerned for yourselves, you should be concerned for the victims of the evil some bad eggs in the name of leadership have caused us. You must be concerned about the thousands of lives wasting daily on our 'pot-hole decorated highways'. Yes, you should be concerned about thousands of youths whose futures are in shambles, roaming our streets as job seekers and those who in Cyber points commit grievous crimes over the internet. "Why" is the question that rings in the heart of already affected Nigerians like us, but the answer isn't far fetched? The reason why destinies are becoming destitute in our country is because our systems are failing and yet our approach towards saving the nation from crumbling is somewhat faulty. Going ahead with this makes me feel like I'm joining the league of those who complain.
This is my counsel to you, New Nigerian: keep up the 'good' work (that's if you are doing one). Well, if you are still idle, expecting some sort of change to come from somewhere; it may come, but not in your direction. Decide today to join the train of change, picture the Nigeria of your dream. Work towards that future by carving a niche of determination for excellence around yourself. Never take a no for an answer when it comes to positive impact. I am sure that the synergy of our little efforts will one day yield a forceful impact that will systematically cause our Nation to metamorphose into what I call 'A Nation Well Kept'. And whether we live in that Nigeria, or it comes while we are gone; it will be said of us that 'with dignity and dogged determination they built us a Nation". Don't fail that generation, start planting your efforts today.
Yours Faithfully,
