My Pursuit of Change!

Why do things remain the way they are? Why are things the way they’ve always been? These questions have been on my mind for about a week now. Maybe I wouldn’t have been bothered if the time weren’t ripe for it. If your life has been experiencing a portion of stagnation for some time now; moving in round circles without progress like that of our Nation, then this subject affects you like no other. You might be lacking something, the drive for change.
The Drive for change is the deficient factor in several backward economies of the world as well as organizations, families and individuals. An impetus for positive dynamism is a vital catalyst for development and renaissance. Unfortunately it is lacking and that’s why we are lagging. Well, I think you will have to agree with me that the process of Change (positive change at that) starts from the desire, then the drive and finally the action that ensures it.
The most prominent character of mediocre people is the lack of enthusiasm and Zeal towards dynamic living and positive change. The foundational problem of many youths and leaders in our nation today is the lack of a potential drive for the change we desire. We’ve long hoped, we’ve waited for decades; but it’s obvious that waiting isn’t the solution to our travails. The answer is taking wise proactive means of deploying strategies that are capable if giving birth to a New Nigeria.
Exquisite delivery of strategic efforts is imperative to economical, technological and political renaissance. My heartfelt burden is to see every Nigerian think in this Direction
My Pursuit of Change began many years ago, but gained remarkable attention in the year 2005. The year 2005 was the year I chose to launch out under God by means of a vision channeled towards ‘Securing Africa’; a vision committed to securing the future of the African youth. I was driven by hope, motivated by faith, determined to chart a course towards National development, youth Security and technological Advancement. It’s barely four years now, the story is slightly different from what it used to be, it’s however obvious that the future holds so much more for the great people of Africa.
In my voyage this couple of years, I’ve come across notable Nigerians, true Africans who are vigorously working, purposefully building and aggressively toiling for positive Change in Africa. Renaissance - men and women whose desire is to see a new Nigeria. Exactly four years ago, I wrote an article; it was Nigeria’s 45th birthday. I titled it: ‘the beautiful Nigerians are not yet born’. I did this because I was burdened about the situation in my country and concerned about the decaying trend of things.
As I said earlier, the story is a different one today. I give thanks to God for giving our Nation young men and women, radical change agents whose decisions have brought us succor in certain areas. I’m not giving to praising individuals, but I feel the need to mention Notable men and women, who through faith and diligence are pursuing change. Icons of Change like Fela Durotoye, Niyi Adesanya, Deolu Akinyemi, Gbenga and Temilade Sesan, Ohimai Godwin, Sam Adeyemi, Poju Oyemade…
The list is not endless and that’s why more people must arise to take up the course of change. It’s not a struggle; it is a strategic process, a work that must be given close attention. We must work so the Synergy of our little efforts can generate a force that will catapult us into greatness. Our individual fulfillment is in the greatness we have succeeded in bringing our Nation into.
I am somewhat confident, that with the cooperation of you and I, addressing vital sectors of National livelihood, change is in the air.
