See: shains Invisible

1st October, 1960 was the year our dear country (Nigeria) officially gained independence from the British colonial masters who for many years kept us under their rule, authority and leadership. Thanks to the then leaders, patriots, freedom fighters who got us the independence. Times of slavery and utter dominion were gone, times of been servants of the white man were gone; oh many thanks to our patriots indeed. Paradoxically, we only got independence from the white man, signifying an official note of victory, but never did we get independence from ourselves. The same 1st October, 1960 was the day we became slaves to another set of people. Black men taking their fellow country men into slavery. Perhaps, that Independence was just a transfer of slave ownership; a pending freedom. What an Independence I say!

Men of power, influence, and probably intellect took over the responsibility of holding captive their fellow country-men, sad, very sad. We got out of slavery, but slavery never for ones left us. The same crop of mediocres (average men) without true visions, right policies and sincere philosophies have led us through these years; causing us to roam in circles without substancial fulfilment. Today, we are Forty and Nine years old 49, and issues of stagnation, backwardness and corruption we dealt with decades ago are still the same issues prevailent in our society. This gave rise to a deep thought in my heart,it birthed a burden for teriffic transformation and an obsessive passion for change. The dogged pursuit of rennaisance in our Nation coupled with deep understanding into the spiritual brought me to the conclusions that while we got freedom from physical chains, we are still with chains invisible, entangled in great distress and led all the way by wolves in sheep's clothing.

The solution however looms in distinct appearance waiting for us to accept and take responsive actions towards the change we desire. Our first line of action as change seekers is our ability to recognize, that we are still bound with invisible chains limited by invisible hands and led by the same crop of selfish individuals whose strategic act of deception have made us called them 'Heroes Past'.

Our second line of action meanwhile is the passionate desire to take the responsibility of change in our hands. Let your resolute decision be Breaking off the web of mediocrity, choosing to be a committed Nigerian, making your own vote count, not assisting these wicked men and women establish their counsel by imposing rulers on us in the name of God-fatherism. We must learn to appeal the deities of Change with the tireless efforts of commitment to excellence, faithful service to our country and the determination never to quit until Substantial change becomes the hallmark of our national brand.

Finally and most importantly, we must learn to submit ourselves to the leadership of the indefatiguable divine Autocrat and most superior being, God. We must learn to lay down our ideosyncracies,pre-concieved philosophies that have won us nothing but failure in the past; and we must take up the wisdom of the most high. This is the gate to the glory of our great Nation, Nigeria. We'll begin to experience positive change, when our leaders begin to lean on God and exercise absolute submission to the tutorship of His Holy Spirit.
Most importantly, we must anticipate and therefore prepare for the change we expect.Today Nigeria is forty Nine, and tomorrow we shall live in true comfort and rest, enjoying the impact of Truly committed citizens you and I have decided to be. Long live Nigeria, and now I can say, Happy independence.

My Pursuit of Change!

Why do things remain the way they are? Why are things the way they’ve always been? These questions have been on my mind for about a week now. Maybe I wouldn’t have been bothered if the time weren’t ripe for it. If your life has been experiencing a portion of stagnation for some time now; moving in round circles without progress like that of our Nation, then this subject affects you like no other. You might be lacking something, the drive for change.
The Drive for change is the deficient factor in several backward economies of the world as well as organizations, families and individuals. An impetus for positive dynamism is a vital catalyst for development and renaissance. Unfortunately it is lacking and that’s why we are lagging. Well, I think you will have to agree with me that the process of Change (positive change at that) starts from the desire, then the drive and finally the action that ensures it.
The most prominent character of mediocre people is the lack of enthusiasm and Zeal towards dynamic living and positive change. The foundational problem of many youths and leaders in our nation today is the lack of a potential drive for the change we desire. We’ve long hoped, we’ve waited for decades; but it’s obvious that waiting isn’t the solution to our travails. The answer is taking wise proactive means of deploying strategies that are capable if giving birth to a New Nigeria.
Exquisite delivery of strategic efforts is imperative to economical, technological and political renaissance. My heartfelt burden is to see every Nigerian think in this Direction
My Pursuit of Change began many years ago, but gained remarkable attention in the year 2005. The year 2005 was the year I chose to launch out under God by means of a vision channeled towards ‘Securing Africa’; a vision committed to securing the future of the African youth. I was driven by hope, motivated by faith, determined to chart a course towards National development, youth Security and technological Advancement. It’s barely four years now, the story is slightly different from what it used to be, it’s however obvious that the future holds so much more for the great people of Africa.
In my voyage this couple of years, I’ve come across notable Nigerians, true Africans who are vigorously working, purposefully building and aggressively toiling for positive Change in Africa. Renaissance - men and women whose desire is to see a new Nigeria. Exactly four years ago, I wrote an article; it was Nigeria’s 45th birthday. I titled it: ‘the beautiful Nigerians are not yet born’. I did this because I was burdened about the situation in my country and concerned about the decaying trend of things.
As I said earlier, the story is a different one today. I give thanks to God for giving our Nation young men and women, radical change agents whose decisions have brought us succor in certain areas. I’m not giving to praising individuals, but I feel the need to mention Notable men and women, who through faith and diligence are pursuing change. Icons of Change like Fela Durotoye, Niyi Adesanya, Deolu Akinyemi, Gbenga and Temilade Sesan, Ohimai Godwin, Sam Adeyemi, Poju Oyemade…
The list is not endless and that’s why more people must arise to take up the course of change. It’s not a struggle; it is a strategic process, a work that must be given close attention. We must work so the Synergy of our little efforts can generate a force that will catapult us into greatness. Our individual fulfillment is in the greatness we have succeeded in bringing our Nation into.
I am somewhat confident, that with the cooperation of you and I, addressing vital sectors of National livelihood, change is in the air.
